To members and supporters,

Over the past few months, both AWG and ARW have received questions about how our two groups collaborate, and what plans might exist for continuing our partnership in the future.

AWG is a community group that was initiated on Facebook by Elysia Rourke. ARW is an incorporated non-for-profit organization, co-founded by Jenn Snider Cruise and Jessie Carson. As community organizers, we are grateful for the enthusiasm and interest shown for each of our group efforts since we both formed, coincidently, in November 2023.

While some of our goals may differ, we do not see them as conflicting. We share a love for writing and our community. In efforts to work together we meet regularly to share ideas, co-host events, jointly support, promote, and attend each other’s events, and coordinate our scheduling to avoid double-bookings.

We strongly believe that together the AWG and ARW provide Almonte and the surrounding area with a lush, diverse array of literary activities and events. We are proud to continue to grow the writing community in Almonte and flourish as a cooperative unit.
