Local Lit - writers & poets OPEN MIC

  • Barley Mow 79 Little Bridge Street Mississippi Mills, ON, K0A 1A0 Canada (map)

We’re opening up the stage to you, our local writers, poets and storytellers!

We’re super excited to welcome everyone back again for another OPEN MIC — from 7:00-9:00 p.m. — at a NEW VENUE! Come on out for a night of local stories, performances, and poetry, and enjoy some delicious food and drinks at the BARLEY MOW — 79 Little Bridge Street, in Almonte.

Donations welcome at the door.

Do you have a piece that's a work in progress? A polished story or poem? All work* is welcome. If you are interested in participating, there will be 5-minute slots available. Priority will be given in the order of those that sign up upon arrival.

If you are not a writer or not ready to read a piece aloud we warmly welcome listeners, too. Bring your friends and lend an ear.

* Ensure stories do not include anything that is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or graphically violent.

Presented by Almonte Readers & Writers.
